Storage and care Hats at.hats
At-hats hats are made in France, in the hat-making tradition. They are meant to complement your day and night outfit. We hope you enjoy your piece.
Hat Care Tip: Store your hat on a flat surface. Make sure no edges wrinkle.
To keep your hat in its original shape, fill it with tissue paper and wrap the crown with paper when storing and transporting. We recommend not carrying a hat in a suitcase full of other clothing.
Direct contact with water may cause distortion and tarnishing of metal embellishments and trim. Prolonged exposure to a high humidity environment may cause the shape and brim of felt hats to distort. We recommend not wearing the hat when it rains and not putting it on wet hair.
If your hat gets wet, let it dry naturally with the crown and brim in good shape.
Dust can be removed with a dry towel. Do not use soap, oils, abrasive cleaners, furniture polish, varnish or ammonia.
After prolonged exposure to the sun, a straw hat may change color and become darker. Straw and sisal are natural materials, so a slight change in color is not considered a defect.
If your hat has metal or resin ornaments we recommend that you avoid contact with salt air, chlorine, cosmetics and strong chemicals to avoid tarnishing as much as possible.
Hats may change shape or break due to improper storage or transportation. To preserve the shape of the hat during transportation, you can use a box.
The handcrafted manufacture of these models does not allow them to resist water. It is recommended to store them away from air and humidity. To avoid any deformation, handle the hat by its crown rather than its edges and store it away from humidity and light.
